Create your own film workshops

Any mini Spielbergs out there?

In our Movie Maker workshops, students collaborate to script, rehearse, shoot and edit their ideas to create a finished film. Working closely in groups with our experienced tutors participants learn skills and techniques that they can continue to develop after the workshop in order to make films with their own mobile technology.

This is an increasingly popular option for many schools. Recent movie work we have delivered includes programmes and workshops for the Irish Film Institute, Meath County Council Arts Office, Fingal Arts Office and dozens of schools and venues throughout Ireland.

Movie Maker workshops are ideally suited for themed projects such as DEVED, Mental Health and Environmental Awareness Issues.

Workshops take place in your school, centre, club, arts centre over one or two days. All materials are supplied including iPads & accessories. Finished movies available in Digital or DVD format.

Movie Maker workshops are generally facilitated by two tutors ( ratio of 1 tutor :12 - 15 students). Standard one day workshop fee for a normal class of approx 24 students facilitated by two tutors & equipment supplied is €395* . For smaller classes a one tutor option is available from €245*.

Two day workshops from €699 (two tutors and all equipment )

If you would like us to tailor an existing workshop or design a new one to suit your requirements please get in touch.

* (Pricing does not include any accommodation or additional travel expenses and these will be quoted and agreed prior to the workshop if required)

Tutors are based in several counties including Clare, Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny, Meath, Wicklow & Westmeath.

Createschool have been working with our Transition year students over the past five or six years. CreateSchool have developed a framework from which our  Transition Year students have developed key skills in all aspects of movie Making as well making Documentaries with respect to developmental Education. As a result Createschool have been instrumental in developing leadership, communication, teamwork and organisational skills together with helping to nurture personal autonomy and creativity in every student they have worked with, thus  in keeping with the ethos of the Transition Year programme.
— John Kerr (TYP Co-ordinator - Patrician High School, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan - Chairperson TYTPN)
We have had Createschool in our school over the past number of years and we have always found them very professional and creative. They have always taken our student’s ideas and worked with them to create imaginative and innovative films. All of their workshops are fun to participate in while students also learn how to use the most up to date equipment and e technologies. They have stimulated our students to create films of their own and in some cases to pursue a career in the area.

Createschool are  punctual and  thorough and are a pleasure to deal with. I would have no hesitation in recommending them
